ECOLI

Very often some store bought birds may be infected by "ECOLI" bacteria. To find out whether your bird has it or not you should bring it to the vet for a special test. Even if your bird has positive test results there is nothing to worry about. A small "ECOLI" bacteria is easily treated. In fact, it is even normal for the bird to have it for the first week or two after moving home. Some vets don't even prescribe any medication. To make sure your bird is OK just bring it back in several weeks for a re-test.
